Painting Fabric

One of my favorite daily reads, The Mustard Ceiling, has totally outdone herself.  I've been seeing painted fabric these days and I have to say I'm intrigued.  Then this happens.
 Really????
Elizabeth made her own ikat stencil and painted it.  Just gorgeous.

I had already been loving these curtains and  the new chair fabric is perfect.
This color makes me want to go get a manicure and pedicure to match.  So cute and Elizabeth you are awesome!

Elizabeth is brilliant. I can't get over some of the ideas she comes up with!
But so are you, which is why I'm passing on the Versatile Blogger Award to you :) Stop by for more details.

That looks so good. My first experience with stenciling fabric was in the late 80s when I was in to country decorating. I made a muslin table square and stenciled roses on the border. It was fun, I hadn't thought abut that for years until I saw this. Now I'm thinking abut trying it again. Thanks for sharing this.

I know- I saw that too and I am blown away! What a great creative idea since fabric is MUY expensive. I may have to try this...

Wow, thats pretty impressive. I have also been seeing the painted fabric around blogland and it fascinates me yet scares me at the same time to try it on my own.
